Terms of Service
Credit Card Charges
When ordering online you will be asked to supply specific billing, ship to, and credit card information to expedite shipment of your seafood. The secure site gathers your information but your credit card will not be charged until your seafood is shipped. If for some reason we cannot fullfill your order we will notify you by telephone and discuss alternatives. Applicable sales tax will be applied for shipments within the state of Florida. At no point will your credit card or billing information be made available to any third party.
Shipping Standards
Old Dixie Seafood ships their fresh seafood via Federal Express Standard Overnight and Federal Express Priority Overnight. These are the only two types of delivery available. If Federal Express Standard Overnight is not available for a ship to location then Federal Express Priority Overnight will be used. If neither of the above two shipping methods are available for your area then you will be notified by telephone to discuss alternatives. Your credit card will not be charged. Shipping Your Seafood
Old Dixie Seafood ships their seafood using styrofoam coolers, two ice paks per cooler and either a 17x12x8 or 18x15x8 (inches) cardboard box. These cargos are packed to maintain freshness and stability during transport as per Federal Express standards.
Shipping Days & Times
We Fedex priority or standard overnight, Monday through Friday so overnight deliveries are available to your home/office Tuesday through Saturday. Orders received before 4:00 pm Monday through Friday will be shipped the same day. No Sunday or Monday deliveries.
Handling & Base Weight Charges
Applied to each order will be a handling charge of $10.00 and a base weight of 6 pounds. The $10.00 covers the cost of the cooler and ice paks and the base weight of 6 lbs. is the combination of the cooler, ice paks, and cardboard box.
Liabilities Not Assumed
WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, WHETHER DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL. This is the responsibility of Federal Express. Please see Claim for Loss, Damage, or Delay for more information.
We will not be liable for loss, damage, delay, shortage, misdelivery, nondelivery, misinformation, or failure to provide information in connection with your shipment caused by events we cannot control, including but not limited to acts of God, perils of the air, weather conditions, mechanical delays, acts of public enemies, war, strikes, civil commotions, or acts or omissions of public authorities with actual or apparent authority.

The right to damages against Federal Express shall be extinguished unless an action is brought within two (2) years from the date of delivery of the shipment or from the date on which the shipment should have been delivered.
Within forty-five (45) days after notification to us of the claim, it must be documented by sending to Federal Express all relevant information about it. Federal Express is not obligated to act on any claim until all transportation charges have been paid; the claim amount may not be deducted from those charges.
If the recipient accepts the shipment without noting any damage on the delivery record, Federal Express will assume the shipment was delivered in good condition. In order for us to consider a claim for damage, the contents, original shipping cartons, and packing must be available to us for inspection.
